The short answer
Microsoft Azure AI Fundamentals is an entry-level exam. It assumes no prior certification and is passed regularly by people early in their IT careers, provided they study the published objectives rather than skimming them. Microsoft Azure classifies it at the beginner level, and the format is multiple choice, drag-and-drop, and hot area, sat in 45 minutes.
If you work with computers day to day, even outside a formal IT role, most of the material will connect to things you have seen. The challenge is vocabulary and breadth, not depth: the exam touches many topics lightly rather than a few deeply.
What actually makes it hard
Interactive items, not just multiple choice.

The clock.
