DevOps Engineer Professional practice exams

No complete practice exam yet. A form is 75 questions apportioned to the official weightings, and a partial one would report a score that means nothing, so none is assembled until the questions are there.

Where DevOps Engineer Professional fits

An honest study plan

  1. 1. Read the official objectives first

Download the official objectives from Amazon Web Services (AWS) and skim every line. The exam can only test what’s listed there, it’s the contract.

  2. 2. Weight your study toward SDLC Automation and Configuration Management and IaC

Together the top two domains are 39% of the exam. Practice them until your accuracy is consistently above 80%.

  3. 3. Drill weak domains, then sit a numbered practice exam

Use Domain Drill on your weakest areas, then sit a full-length form under exam conditions: 75 questions in 180 minutes, scored against the published pass mark. Book the real exam when you are consistently clearing that, not before.

Frequently asked questions

What does DOP-C02 assume you already know?

Either associate exam's ground, plus real pipeline experience. The exam lives in CodePipeline, CloudFormation, ECS and EKS deployments, CloudWatch and cross-account automation, and it asks what breaks and how to remediate automatically.

Which domain surprises people?

Incident and event response. It is 14% of the exam and tests EventBridge wiring, automated remediation with SSM and how services misbehave under failure, which pipeline-focused prep tends to skip.

SAP or DOP for a platform engineer?

DOP if your work is delivery and operations automation; SAP if it is architecture across many accounts and workloads. DOP rewards depth in fewer services, SAP breadth across nearly all of them.

DevOps Engineer Professional is not for sale yet. A certification goes on sale when it has a complete practice exam behind it, and this one does not, so there is nothing here worth charging for. Everything published is free to answer in the meantime.
