Deploy and manage Azure compute resources

An administrator wants an App Service Environment to communicate directly and securely with virtual machines in the same private address space, without using peering or a VPN. Which deployment approach achieves this?

Configure a virtual network service endpoint for the App Service EnvironmentService endpoints extend a virtual network's identity to services like Storage or SQL Database over a direct connection, not to App Service Environments deployed inline.
Configure a point-to-site VPN connection from the App Service EnvironmentPoint-to-site VPN connects a single on-premises computer to a virtual network, which does not apply to an Azure-hosted App Service Environment.
Establish virtual network peering between two separate virtual networksPeering connects two separate virtual networks together, but the scenario involves resources already intended to share one virtual network.
Deploy the App Service Environment directly into the virtual networkCorrect · your answerThis is correct because App Service Environments are explicitly listed as a resource type deployable into a virtual network for direct communication.
Attach a public load balancer to the App Service EnvironmentA public load balancer manages inbound or outbound internet connectivity, not private communication between resources inside a virtual network.

Correct.

Concept

Private communication between Azure resources comes from sharing one address space, not from bridging separate ones. Peering, VPN tunnels and public front ends all exist to join things that live apart. Some Azure services can instead be placed inside the network itself, which removes the need to bridge anything.

Why D

Deploying the App Service Environment directly into the virtual network places it in the same private address space as other resources, allowing direct communication without peering, VPN, or public endpoints.

Sample question 1 of 3

Deploy and manage Azure compute resources

A company runs an App Service Environment that must exchange traffic privately with resources in a virtual network, without any traffic crossing the internet. Which approach meets this requirement?

Sample question 2 of 3

Deploy and manage Azure compute resources

An App Service plan hosts three apps. An administrator sets an autoscale rule on the plan to add instances only for the busiest app. What does the rule actually do?

Sample question 3 of 3

Deploy and manage Azure compute resources

A team runs a proof-of-concept web app in a Free tier App Service plan. Traffic climbs, but the Scale out blade offers no instance slider. Why is scale out unavailable?
