Sample question 1 of 5
An initial scan of a /24 finds three live hosts. Later you learn the network actually holds eleven. Which scan choice most likely caused you to miss them?
Sample question 2 of 5
You have a shell on a dual-homed host: 10.0.0.5 on the network you can reach, and 192.168.50.5 on one you cannot. You need to run your own tools from your machine against 192.168.50.0/24. What gets you there?
Sample question 3 of 5
A login form returns 'Unknown username' for one input and 'Incorrect password' for another. What is the finding, and what should the fix be?
Sample question 4 of 5
A scan returns:
139/tcp open netbios-ssn Samba smbd 4.6.2
445/tcp open netbios-ssn Samba smbd 4.6.2What is the most productive next step?
Sample question 5 of 5
You have 48 hours and a network of unknown size. Which habit contributes most directly to passing?

An honest study plan
1. Read the official objectives first
Download the official objectives from INE Security and skim every line. The exam can only test what’s listed there, it’s the contract.
2. Weight your study toward Host and Network Penetration Testing and Assessment Methodologies
Together the top two domains are 60% of the exam. Practice them until your accuracy is consistently above 80%.
3. Drill weak domains, then take a mock exam
Use Domain Drill on your weakest areas, then a full timed mock at real length (35 questions answered from a live lab questions, 2880 minutes). Book the real exam when you’re consistently passing mocks, not before.

Frequently asked questions
Is eJPT a practical exam?
Yes. You get a target network and 48 hours, and every question is answered from what you actually find. You cannot answer it from a study guide, which is the entire point of taking it.
Do I need to buy INE training to take eJPT?
No, the exam voucher can be bought on its own. INE has repeatedly made the matching Penetration Testing Student path free, so check before paying for a subscription just for the course.
Does eJPT expire?
No. There is no renewal fee and no CPE requirement, which makes the total cost of ownership unusually low compared to CompTIA or ISC2 certifications.
What do people fail eJPT on?
Enumeration, almost always. Candidates who rush to exploitation miss a host or a service and then cannot reach the part of the network the later questions are about. Slow, complete enumeration is the whole exam.
