Ways to bring the cost down
50 percent renewal code
Passing puts a 50 percent discount code in the Benefits section of your CM Connect account, and you can apply it to your renewal attempt. Failing does not earn one.
Free tier and trial credits
Over 20 Google Cloud products have a free monthly usage tier, and new customers get $300 in credits on signup. That covers most of the hands-on work these exams ask about if you delete what you build.
For a good share of candidates somebody else pays this fee. The GI Bill, DoD and employer routes, with the rules each one publishes.
What a retake costs
A retake costs another $99, the same as the first attempt. That single line is larger than every other avoidable cost on this page combined, which is why practising until your mock scores clear the pass line is the cheapest thing you can do.
