A 5G capable cellular modem installed in the deviceCorrect · your answerCorrect: a 5G capable modem is the specific requirement for 5G cellular data support.
A Wi-Fi 6E capable wireless network adapter installedA Wi-Fi 6E adapter governs wireless LAN speed, not cellular data, and does not enable 5G.
A Trusted Platform Module version 2.0 chip installedTPM 2.0 supports security features like BitLocker and Windows Hello, unrelated to cellular data.
A near field communication reader installed in the deviceAn NFC reader supports tap-based pairing and payments, not cellular network registration.
A Bluetooth 5.2 low energy adapter installed in the deviceA Bluetooth adapter supports short range pairing, not cellular network connectivity.

Correct.

Concept

A radio generation is set by silicon, not by software. Firmware can expose a feature the hardware already implements, but nothing in the operating system makes a chipset speak a protocol it was never built for. When a network type is missing, ask what was specified when the machine was ordered.

Why A

5G cellular data support requires a 5G capable modem in the device; without it, the device cannot register on a 5G network regardless of other hardware present.
