Passing score
MLS-C01What it takes to pass Machine Learning Specialty
The passing score for MLS-C01 is 750 on a scale of 100 to 1000. That is a scaled score rather than a percentage, which is the part most people read wrong.
A scaled 750 is not 75 percent
MLS-C01 reports results on a scale from 100 to 1000, and 750 is the line on that scale, not a percentage of questions. Amazon Web Services (AWS) converts your raw performance to the scale with a model it does not publish, which weights questions by difficulty. Two candidates can answer the same number of questions correctly and land on different scaled scores.
That has one practical consequence: nobody outside Amazon Web Services (AWS) can tell you exactly how many questions you can miss. Any site that gives you a precise miss budget is guessing. You can still practice against the line itself: our Machine Learning Specialty practice exams score against the published 750, so a practice result reads the way the real one will.
