How many questions, and how long
Amazon Web Services (AWS) states 65 questions for SCS-C03, with a time limit of 170 minutes. That is about 2.6 minutes a question, including the time it takes to read the stem and the options.
The count is fixed, but the score is scaled rather than counted, so no fixed number of questions you can miss follows from it.
What the questions look like
Multiple choice and multiple response only. No simulations, no labs, and nothing to configure.
What passes
The passing score for SCS-C03 is 750 on a scale of 100 to 1000.
If you do not pass
A retake costs another $300.
How long it stays valid
Security Specialty is valid for 3 years from the day you pass. Recertify by passing the current version of this exam, or a higher one. AWS certifications last three years. Recertifying means passing the current version of the exam, or a higher one in the same track, at full price. The 50 percent benefit voucher from your last pass applies.
