Pass guarantee
Last updated: 10 August 2026
If you do the work our practice exams measure and the real exam still does not go your way, you get your money back. Nobody reads the claim and nothing is decided by hand.
The short version
Sit every practice exam we publish for your certification in exam conditions, score 85 percent or better on each, sit the real exam within 30 days, and record the result on your dashboard. If it was not a pass, the refund button on your account page issues the refund.
The rules below are the rules the software checks. Nothing is judged by a person, so nothing can be argued with, in either direction.
About this policy
This is the operative policy. It is what we actually do, it is written in plain language on purpose, and it is the basis on which accounts are held and purchases are made. It does not reduce any right you have under the consumer or privacy law where you live, and where your local law gives you more, your local law wins. If anything here matters to a decision you are making, write to us and ask.
01The promise
Our practice exams are assembled to the vendor’s published domain weightings and scored against the published cut score, and every answer is checked against the official page it came from. A candidate who scores 85 percent on every one of them, under the clock and with no feedback until submit, has done what the exam asks. If the real sitting still does not pass, the purchase that opened those exams is refunded.
02The four conditions
- Every practice exam, in exam conditions. Each numbered form the certification publishes, sat at least once with the sitting set to exam conditions (no explanations until submit). Study mode sittings do not count, because reading the explanation after each answer measures reading, not readiness. Your best sitting of each form is the one that counts.
- 85 percent or better on each. The raw fraction of questions answered correctly, not the estimated scaled score.
- The real exam within 30 days of your last qualifying practice exam, recorded on your dashboard with the date it was sat and the result.
- A claim within 60 days of that real exam, made from your account page.
The guarantee applies to certifications with at least 3 practice exams published. Fewer than that is a diagnosis rather than a rehearsal, and we do not promise what the bank cannot yet support. The certification page says how many forms are open.
03How a claim works
Your account page shows, for each certification you have sat a practice exam on, which of the conditions are met and which are not, in plain sentences. When all four are met a refund control appears. Pressing it asks Lemon Squeezy, the Merchant of Record, to refund the order in full. There is no ticket and nobody reads the claim. If the processor cannot issue the refund automatically, the claim is recorded and handled by hand within a few days, and you can write to hello@firsttry.app about it.
04What is refunded
The order that opened the certification: a single certification pass for it, or the Pro or All Access order if that is what you hold. The refund is the full amount of that order, and the access it granted ends when the refund is issued, as with any other refund.
05What it does not cover
The exam fee, travel, or anything you paid to anyone else. A certification whose real exam you have not sat or whose result you did not record. A result you declined to share. Practice exams sat in study mode. Your statutory rights are unaffected and sit alongside this.
