What the Cloud Digital Leader exam looks like

Google Cloud states 50-60 questions for CDL, with a time limit of 90 minutes. That is about 1.8 minutes a question, including the time it takes to read the stem and the options.

Google Cloud publishes a range rather than a fixed count, so the pace above assumes the low end of it. At the top of the range you have less time a question.

Multiple choice only. No multiple select, no labs, no console access, and nothing to configure during the exam.

Google Cloud does not publish a fixed passing score for CDL.

Foundational exams allow ten attempts in any one year period, with at least 14 days between failed attempts. A retake costs another $99.

Cloud Digital Leader is valid for 3 years from the day you pass. Valid for three years. Renewal opens 180 days before expiry, and you can renew with the standard exam or with the shorter 45 minute renewal exam at $60. Foundational certifications last three years. Renewing costs $60 for the 45 minute renewal exam or $99 for the standard exam again, and the 50 percent code from your last pass applies to either.
