1. Read the official objectives first
Download the official objectives from Google Cloud and skim every line. The exam can only test what’s listed there, it’s the contract.
2. Weight your study toward Designing and planning a cloud solution architecture and Managing and provisioning a cloud solution infrastructure
Together the top two domains are 42.5% of the exam. Practise them until your accuracy is consistently above 80%.
3. Drill weak domains, then sit a numbered practice exam
Use Domain Drill on your weakest areas, then sit a full-length form under exam conditions: 50 questions in 120 minutes, scored against the published pass mark. Book the real exam when you are consistently clearing that, not before.

Frequently asked questions
Are the case studies really on the exam?
Yes, and they are published in advance. Google puts the case study documents on the exam guide page, and roughly a third of the questions attach to them. Reading them cold in the exam wastes time you do not have, so read them before the day.
Is this harder than the AWS Solutions Architect Professional?
Different rather than harder. Cloud Architect leans on business requirements and process analysis, which together are 40 percent of the exam, where the AWS professional exam leans on service depth. People coming from AWS usually find the technical sections comfortable and underestimate the process ones.
How much of it is Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform?
Two of the twenty-two sub-objectives, both inside the provisioning section, which is 17.5 percent of the exam overall. Google renamed Vertex AI to Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform during 2026, so older study material will call the same material Vertex AI.
How long is it valid?
Two years, one less than the foundational and associate certifications. Renewal means passing the full exam again inside the 60 day eligibility window.
