200-301What the CCNA exam looks like
200-301 has approximately 100 questions in 120 minutes, multiple choice, drag-and-drop, and lab simulations. Every figure on this page is read from the official exam page and linked to it.
How many questions, and how long
Cisco states approximately 100 questions for 200-301, with a time limit of 120 minutes. That is about 1.2 minutes a question, including the time it takes to read the stem and the options.
"Approximately" is the vendor's word, so the count on the day is not something to plan around.
What the questions look like
Multiple choice and multiple response, drag-and-drop, simlets (a shared topology with several questions hanging off it), and full simulations where you configure real device software in the exam.
What passes
Cisco does not publish a fixed passing score for 200-301.
If you do not pass
A retake costs another $300.
